Children's museum

We did a lot of fun free things while Oma and Opa were here. Friday we went to the Children's Museum in Tacoma. It is free the first Friday of every month. It was pretty small but really fun!

Museum of Flight

This has nothing to do with the museum of flight but us enjoying a sunny (but cold) day at the park with friends!

Russell wanted a little bed made on the couch so he could read books with George.

The first Thursday of every month is free to go to the museum of flight (after 5:00). We have been trying to go more often because the kids LOVE it. We decided to take Oma and Opa with us knowing how much Kevin's dad would love it too!

Portland

Kevin's parents, Grandma, and Aunt came to Portland for a visit. So we packed up our stuff and went to Kevin's sisters house to be with the family...it was so much fun!

All the kids bathed and ready for bed. This was one of those moments that is perfect and "movie like".

Russell decided to pull out all of Janeys and Ellas clothes (I am sure he had a little help). I did not realize how much they had until this moment. Do little kids really need this many clothes? I don't think so...how did we get so much stuff!?

Janey wrote all our names on her toy chest. She tried to blame Russell, but we all know he can't write like that! :) Luckily she used a washable marker. I love Russells face in this picture and how he is pointing at what Janey did.

Catching up

Instead of going to church today and be uplifted and edified, I decided to stay home and play catch up on our blog....because that is much more important and uplifting! Actually, Ella and Russell are sick so I stayed home to put them to bed and hopefully get rid of the snot fountains that are going off around here. As for being uplifted by catching up on this blog, how is that even possible? Nothing ever works right for me and this is taking me FOREVER!

Okay, enough of that....get ready for lots of pictures and few captions over the last few months.

Before Christmas we went to great wolf with some friends. This is our annual tradition (3 years going now) and this was by far our favorite year. All the kids loved it, and it was so much fun having so many friends with us! Everyone needs to come next year!

Right before we went home. Russell had played hard for 2 days straight, and was so tired! He actually fell asleep in the chair....that never happens!

Janey

I know I have not blogged in forever...but now is not the time for playing catch-up. I just wanted to write down some funny/cute things Janey has said lately so that I don't forget.

So Janey has been obsessed with poop lately. Everything she talks about has to do with poop (disgusting I know) Actually I finally helped her kick the habit by telling her I would wash her mouth out with soap if she kept talking like that :) She is doing much better but the other day on the way home she was talking and singing and then she said "Mommy, it's really hard not to say poop". I thought it was hilarious, it's like a swear word for her!

Also, before we got out of the poop phase she was sitting at the table one day talking about spiders, and then of course spider poop, and then she busts out with (talking about the spider) "When he sees the light of the sun, he poops in a rainbow sky). I am laughing to myself while typing this. It makes me laugh every single time. It could be such a great poem if she used another adjective besides poop! And the way she said it...it was all dreamy like:)

The other night while we were walking out of the library after story time Janey looked up at the moon and said "Mommy I really want to be on the moon". She has said this to me on more than one occasion, even from the time she was really little. I told her one day when she was older she could go to the moon if she really wanted to. She then proceeded to ask me "but Mommy, where are my astronaut clothes?" She is such a cutie, and it makes me think that one day she really will go to the moon...
