Random Things

1. I found myself a personal trainer. The other day we went for a walk and Janey decided she wanted to run instead of ride in the stroller. When she got out she took off and said " Mama I fast!" She then preceeded to make me run with her and whenever I would stop to walk next to Kevin she would come and get me and yell "GO GO GO!" The sad thing is that she actually ran as fast as I do! She ended up running over a mile on that walk...I am not exaggerating!

2. I have found the joys of motherhood and 2 children! It is so much fun and yet so much work. Yesterday I changed about 5 diapers in 5 minutes (see picture of the culprits) Janey loves her baby brother and whenever he cries she thinks I need to hold him, and if he is not in the room with us she wanders around saying "baby baby" over and over until we go and get him. It is so adorable seeing them together and how much they love each other.

3. Janey learns a new word or phrase every day. Today she looked out the window while eating lunch and said "raining" I think that is a sign of what I will be hearing a lot of for the rest of the winter!

4. Russell is getting bigger and bigger everyday. It's sad that he is already almost out of the newborn phase, but he is still the cuddliest and sweetest baby ever. He rarely cries, he just grunts...He is an amazing baby!

5. I am putting some pictures on of when Russell was born...I know I'm a little slow but thats okay. And yes that is a pink binky in my little boys mouth...it was the only one we had that day so give me a break :)

Happy Birthday to me (yesterday)

So I am not posting about my birthday so that you all know when it is...rather I am posting it to thank Kevin for a wonderful day!
Of course the first part of the day was quite usual...but Janey was especially good for me. She let me sleep in and was just the most entertaining and fun child all day long! After Kevin got home from work we dropped Janey off at a friends house so that we could go have dinner at the Keg...yum yum (thanks Crystal for introducing us) Afterwards we went shopping, Kevin wanted to get me a skirt but I didnt find anything that I liked. It was still fun though shopping as long as I wanted and not worrying about Janey running around. After we got home we had strawberry shortcake for desert and Kevin indulged me by watching a chick flick with me :) It was a wonderful day...nothing too big and exciting, but it was perfect!! Thank you Kevin for a wonderful birthday.

So Tired!

Okay, so it's 8:00 in the morning and I am sitting here writing a blog. For many of you this does not seem too absurd, but for me...I am not usually up quite yet :) Why am I up you ask? Hmmm lets just say a little someone has been getting up far to early this past week. Why? I do not know. I thought maybe her room was too bright for her in the mornings so I put an extra blanket over the window to block out the light, but this morning I realized that's not the problem. Who knows, maybe she just wants to be an early bird now...but I sure hope not!

So yeah its 8:00 and lets see what I've accomplished so far:
watched Elmo
cleaned kitchen
swept and mopped
did some laundry
cleaned part of the bathroom
and I even made pancakes for breakfast!

I must say I am quite proud of myself. I don't usually get that much done in a whole week! :)
Anyways Janey has finally gone down for an early morning nap, so I think that I will take one as well

When will it end?

Will this winter ever end? Every morning I wake up dreaming of a nice sunny day, hanging out outside or going to the park, only to have that dream shattered when I open the blinds and see the rain...AGAIN! I am so sick of sitting inside all day trying to find ways to entertain Janey...unfortunately I have found that the t.v. works quite nicely. Now all day she asks for Elmo or Signing Time, too bad I have turned my daughter into a t.v. addict! Hopefully she will forget all about it when it gets warm and we can be outside all day long..yeah right! If anyone has any fun activities to do on rainy days...PLEASE let me know!

Our Trip

Okay it's been a long time since I have posted. It started out that I was just too busy on vacation to post...but now it's just laziness! So we had a fantastic trip to New York. We went to visit my sister who lives on Staton Island, and my mom met us there as well. We drove up to Palmyra and were able to see all the Church History sites. That is something I have always wanted to do and it was truly amazing seeing where it all began! It really helped to strengthen my testimony. We also went to Niagra Falls...It was so beautiful but extremely cold!! Then on our last day we went into Manhattan and just walked around. There's just something about big cities that are so exciting! I wouldn't want to live in one forever but I think it would be fun for a couple of months. There is just so much to do and see...and I love seeing all the different types of people :) That night my mom watched Janey while Kevin and I went to see The Little Mermaid on Broadway! It was such an amazing date! I will admit that I was not that excited to see The Little Mermaid but afterwards had no regrets. It was an amazing show...and the things they did with the props and everything were amazing!! So if anyone is thinking about seeing The Little Mermaid...I highly recommend it! It was a great trip but after all that traveling I feel like I need another vacation...just the kind where you sit at home and do NOTHING! :)

Big News

Okay so the big day has finally arrived that we get to find out what we are having. Kevin thought we were going to have a girl and I felt like we were going to have a boy. Needless to say, my mothers intuition was correct this time and we are in fact having a BOY!! Guess we will have to buy some blue since all we have had in our house is PINK! I am definately a pink girl so this will take some getting used to for me, but I am very excited :) The Doctor said that everything looked great and that he is right on track. We are very thankful to be so blessed
