Snow!

I can't believe how much snow we have been getting this past weekend! It was beautiful to watch the snow fall, but I am sooo ready for Spring! I did get some great pictures though of Kevin and Janey playing in the snow. Janey was having the time of her life...she was laughing so hard as they were standing in the snow and the snow was getting all over her, it was pretty cute!
Besides the snow we had a great weekend. Kevin's mom came to visit, it was so nice having her around. Janey just had a ball showing off and playing with her. It was sad to have her go...we sure enjoyed having her here!
In other news...I am trying to potty train Janey so if any of you have any tips or tricks up your sleeves, please share them with me! Wish me luck!

What great pictures!
I'm pretty sick of all the snow too. It's MARCH!

Those pictures are SO cute!! Seriously, I love them. As for potty training, when it comes down to it, they'll do it if they want to. It's all up to them- and whether or not the signals in the brain click or not. Good luck!

As for potty training...I say stick her in regular underwear (actually the really thick kind are best) then put the plastic undies over them. Layer her with a few pairs of pants (to protect the floors) and let her figure it out. She'll start to realize what it feels like before she gets all wet and if she's ready she will be able to tell you (eventually :))
Good luck! I've got one pair of plastic undies it you want to have them....I don't think we actually used this pair (I just found it tucked in a drawer). Let me know.

Those ARE great pictures! I love that feeling of capturing moments like that and they're actually in focus! They're really cute! As for the potty training, I think Ashlee had a great idea. I wish I would have thought of that. I agree with taking time and letting them figure it out, although I've heard people set aside 1 week or 2 weeks and just go at it. I've never been that good so I couldn't tell if it worked or not. I have tried setting a timer and taking them every 45 minutes or so (longer as they start to hold it in better) so they get used to going. Then they usually start following the pattern and learning to pay attention to when they need to go. I also like using rewards (1 for pee 2 for poo) so they don't just sit there and say they went when they didn't (Addie did that a lot - hence the rewards). I don't know, you'll figure it out. You've done great with all the other major stuff so far! ;o)

What beautiful pictures!!! Your kids are so stinkin' adorable. I was a horrible potty trainer, so I don't have any cool tricks.

Those pictures are so sweet! I love how Janey is laughing.

I'm a HORRIBLE, LAZY potty trainer! Gavin (he'll be 4 in October) is finally potty trained as of this week! I bought him candy and told him if he went in the toliet he could have some. If not, no candy. This wouldn't have worked a month ago. I really think it's easier if you wait until they're ready. My other two boys did it all on their own - as in one day they said, "I want to wear underwear" (they were over 3 as well) which made it really easy, I just had to pay for diapers longer. I know I could've trained them earlier, but it just seemed like a lot of work and I'm WAY too lazy for that! Good luck!
